Pillar 01

Geosynthetic Design

Our flagship technical capability. We develop, verify or optimise the geosynthetic system against the actual performance requirement — not against a catalogue.

Overview

Design against the requirement,
not against the catalogue.

We focus on specialist geosynthetic applications and systems: reinforcement, separation, filtration, drainage, containment and erosion protection. Each application is assessed against the ground conditions, the loading regime, the design life and the consequences of underperformance.

Scope

Functions we design for

Reinforcement

Improving the load-carrying behaviour of soil through tensile inclusion — embankments, slopes, platforms and basal reinforcement.

Separation

Preventing intermixing of dissimilar materials so that each layer continues to perform the function it was designed for.

Filtration

Allowing water to pass while retaining soil particles, controlling piping and maintaining long-term hydraulic performance.

Drainage

Collecting and transmitting water within the plane of the geosynthetic to manage pore pressure and protect the structure.

Containment

Barrier systems that isolate contaminants, process fluids or stored material from the surrounding environment.

Erosion protection

Protecting exposed surfaces, channels and slopes from hydraulic and climatic erosion over the asset's design life.

What a design engagement covers

What you can
expect from us.

Design leads the conversation. Where Adhara supplies products, the objective is to support the solution with appropriate technical reasoning — not to reduce the relationship to a commodity transaction.

  • Concept and system design for the specific application
  • Independent design verification and technical review
  • Design optimisation against the real performance requirement
  • Specification, drawings and supporting technical documentation
  • Application-specific technical reasoning that survives scrutiny
  • Clear communication of technical realities — including inconvenient ones

The connected model

The other three pillars.

Send us the problem, the performance requirement and the project context. We will tell you what is technically appropriate — including when the answer is not a geosynthetic.
